02/10/1775 Lamb was born in London on February 10, 1775

1796 When he was twenty years old Lamb suffered a period of insanity. His sister, Mary Ann Lamb, had similar problems and murdered her mother in a fit of madness. She was latter released into her Lamb`s care.

1796 Lamb contributed four sonnets to Coleridge`s Poems on Various Subjects

1798 Blank Verse

1802 Pride`s Cure

1807 Tales from Shakespeare he wrote in collaboration with his sister

1808 The Adventures Of Ulysses Both this work and Tales from Shakespeare were retellings of classic works for children

1808 Lamb`s critical comments in Specimens of English Dramatic poets who lived about the time of Shakespeare these are among the classics of English criticism.

12/29/1834 Charles Lamb died on 29 December, 1834.
